Sweetie I so know what you mean. I made that mistake with my son when he was little when my hubby worked out of town. My son who is 5 years old now , is now sleeping in his own bed. Which has been a huge task for us! Have you atleast tried to have him fall asleep next to you and then moving him to his crib?
I would try that and see if he will sleep all night in his crib? thats what I did when we started having him sleep in his own bed. He fell asleep next to me then my hubby moved him into his big boy bed. Grantly he didn't make it all thru the night but it was a start. Just work at it and finally he will be able to sleep in it without you. TRUST ME.... with a kid in the middle of you & your man is rough and no alone time.. good luck

Your baby has to associate something with sleep. Right now its you, because that is what he/she has learned. Every time I layed my babies down I would put on the mobile that had music. Even if he was asleep at the time I layed him down. Then as they got older I would simply put the baby in it's crib and turn on the mobile.

I didn't do this with my 2nd son, only my 1st and 3rd. Let me tell you.... whew! My 2nd son was so hard to get to sleep and I would have to lay down with him and sneak off after he fell asleep.

Try the music box. The first coupla weeks might be rough but eventually the baby will begin to connect the sound of the music with sleepy time.

i always said that i would never let noah sleep with us...when he was a newborn, he DIDNT..he slept in the bassinett next to my bed..but then, it happened...he started sleeping in the bed with us..it was just so much easier when he would wake up numerous times a night, i can just nurse him (in bed) and go right back to sleep...rather than getting up, getting him out of the crib and so on...i know it sounds kinda lazy?? but, when you are waking up every few hours, it just seems like the best thing to do..but ya...more power to ya mama, i hope that your lil one sleeps in the crib and it works out for the both of you..
