Bright red blood

I just had a exam today im 36 weeks but the baby was measuring 7ibs 6oz already she did a exam and said i was 1 1/2-2cm dialted 70%effaced she said i could have slight spotting afterward i have been examed before and had no problem with spotting and i though spotting was like the dull red to even brown color this is bright red mixed with the cervical clean discharge i have been cramping for quit a while but dont know if its due to the exam or not....I even went and had a bowel movement (sorry if TMI) but i was still bleeding then.

I didnt know you spotted after an exam?? Oh. that ruined my day... watching to see what others say cause I sure dont know...

I don't think you should be bleeding like that. Usually it is pale in color after an exam. Are you contracting?

Maybe you should call the Dr's office and see what they say? Couldn't hurt. I always heard bright red blood could be a potential problem. Better safe then sorry  

ive been having contraction on and off for 2 weeks now but they werent regular. but its bright red.... but mixed ith the clear stringy discharge

how long ago was your exam? Have you los your plug yet?

no i havnt lossed my plug yet my exam was about 11:00 this morning she said my babys head was so far down they couldnt even get a image of his head in the ultrasound cause my pelvic bone was covering him

it could be your plug. Is it alot of blood? Are you cramping or contracting? Some imes they will tell you to give it a few hours if its not alot or painful. But only you know your body and if you feel its not right then definetly call you doctor.

better yet go ahead and call! I went into labor within hours of my exams with both of mine. Crampin and bleeding porbably isn't good.

yeah considering i never bled during a exam even during my 1st pregnancy...they always said it was a possibility but this is as bright as 1st day period blood. she told me during the ultrasound today that the placenta looked great so i know its not previa...

if your baby is that big already its always possible that its time to come out! A little bleeding after an exam happen but not usually the color of your period.

just called the dr and she said relax putm y feet up increase my water and just watch the bleeding if it stops then good but if it increases go straight to L&D but i just checked it and it has 2 pea size dark clotts to it.

Could be your mucus plug. It's not bleeding like your period right? Is so then call your doc or if they are closed call L and D.
