Lay down house rules and expectations from the beginning. One of the problems me and DH had was that we were raised VERY differently and had WAY different ideas about how to clean and stuff. We each said what we thought about cleaning and what was considered "clean" and what wasn't and then came to a compromise. Cleaning was our biggest problem. Oh and discuss your pet peeves too. Like he hates when I put my purse on the floor when I get home and I hate that he leaves his shoes by the front door. Stuff like that. Congrats BTW!

give each other plenty of space. Just because you live together doesnt mean you need to be together 24/7. Just like when you lived seperate you need time alone and your own space.
I find that as long as my fiance and i have at least a little time to still enjoy what we enjoy we are much more likely to compromise on other things!

Divide up the chores.  If you cook, he should clean up.  Always clean up after your own messes.  If you disagree on what to watch - be sure to have two TVs!

His friends sound like my hubby's family members! His bros and sisters and cousins are all around that age or OLDER and live off his grandparents and have FOREVER with no intention of trying to get out on there own. Some of them DO have jobs, but they still mooch and ask for money and stuff while they WASTE the money they earned on tattoos and clothes. Annoying!

Thanks. I've been a little worried since I got prego again so soon...I hope that doesn't have any effect.

I've read your recent threads. I'm sorry for your loss.

I am ok I have come to the realization that when i stress bad things happen so we have adopted an if it happens it happens attitude and have decided not to try but to obviously bd alot and not prevent!.. We need to be able to enjoy it while handling the whole moving in together thing to take some of the edge off!

Just make sure you make time to be apart. My fiance and I just moved in together about 2 months ago and we're just now getting used to it. I never thought it would be that hard! We constantly were bickering. Just remember that you're both still your own people with some of the same interests, but also some different ones. Make time to hang out with your friends too, not just him. Good luck though!

That sounds good   That was the general concept that DH and I used both times and everything's going great. Good luck to you sweetie!
