re: babies going to funerals.

Quoting ♥mommy of Lorelai:“ When Lorelai is around a lot of people she tends to be VERY loud and babbles a lot. I don't think I would bring her to a funeral. (HOPEFULLY I won't have to worry about it anytime soon!)”

I think you'll be fine, just sit towards the back so you can exit easily if the need arises.

The last two funerals I was at were for 3 and 5 year old girls...and of course there were tons of children...but that situation is different too.

If someone doesn't look at Lorelai she will make noises until that person looks at her and talks to her, lol.

When we had a funeral for my cousin about a year ago everybody took their children...and we have a pretty big family. All the ones under 5 did was run up and down the walk way and scream. It made a lot of the older people angry because it kind of ruined the mood.

I would say that if you aren't going to be bawling the whole time then it would be okay. But have an escape plan because the baby might get fussy and you'll need to escape!! I see it at funerals ALL the time.

A family friend passed away a couple of months ago and i didnt go to the funeral just because i didnt want gabe getting fussy and people getting pissed off about it. Her daughter understood completly and doesnt hold it against me because she knows i would of went if i could of got a babysitter. The only time i dont find it appropriate is when a baby/child passes.

I took my son to my father in laws funeral. But ONLY because he was his first and only grandson. He was 6 mths old.I dont think I would take him to somebodys that wasnt really a big part of his life.If it was a cousin or my aunt or uncle probably not. They dont see him very often. But its all personal opinion.

I brought my son to my grandmother's funeral. She was close to me and my son. Sid did good, he slept the whole time. It was a closed casket and a private one with not many people.

I dont think it wu be a bad thing to take a baby to a funeral. The older people love babies and in a way it reminds people that yes there is death but there is also new life.. JMO
