At nearly 21 weeks...

posted 30th Jun
I'll be 21 weeks Thursday. I just started feeling my daughter move within the last week or two. I used to be able to feel little thumps everytime I laid on my back, probably ten or twenty times a day, but now I probably only feel movement a couple times a day. I know it's probably nothing to be concerned about, she's just in a weird position or something, but I was wondering when I'd start feeling her more often. I've always known that when you are pregnant you feel your baby move but I was never told how often you would feel it...

So basically, when did you start feeling your baby move all the time?

I felt her moving all the time by 26 weeks. My doctor always said they don't worry about you feeling the baby everyday until you are 28 weeks though. That's when they will have you start kick counts.

Isaiah doesn't move all the time but he moves regularly each day and usually around the same times. I panic sometimes when he doesn't move when I am used to him moving but in an hour or so... there he goes again! lol

I think between 25-28 weeks is when I felt movement all the time. Before 25 weeks it was only a few times a day or a few times on different days.

I'm just a day ahead of you and I feel my son every day... all day. Its really all up to the baby and how in tune you are with your body. The bigger she gets the more you'll feel her.

Mine said that they will get more regular around 28 weeks and not to worry until then. He doesn't have me doing kick counts or anything, he just asks if she's moving.

My baby is pretty docile and has a short burst of kicks and flutters a few times a day, but otherwise I just feel her gradually easing in somewhere (usually under my ribs so I can't breathe) and she snuggles there for a while...not really any kicking or jerking more just pressure that I started to notice after she got bigger.

My doctor has never asked me to do kick counts, I think it would make me paranoid.... I know he's in there & I know how much he usually moves. Every baby is different IMO

I'm also not showing at all, really. I have a little tiny bump but nothing like other girls who are due around the same time. =/ I wonder if she is just really far back or something.

I am naming my son Isaiah too. He's also a very "scheduled" mover! You could almost set a clock too it lol

Yeah I know lol. I work at a day camp with about a hundred screaming kids. You would think that would throw him off... but nope. Maybe he will be a good sleeper when he is born lol.

You could ask your Dr. if you are worried, NEVER be scared to ask him/her questions, your paying them ALOT so get your moneys worth outta them! When you go into labor you wont see them till your baby's head is visible then they're gone after they deliver the baby.
BUT when your 9 months and the babydoesn't move as much bc as they run out of room they can't really move alot.

dont worry, i JUST barely started showing and sometimes i think the same thing... but i can say that she moves and kicks alot!!! it's weird to watch my stomach and see her moving around in there. my mom thinks she is gonna be a small baby or born early because i had surgery when i was 3 months preggo.
