Implantation or Period? Please respond.

posted 30th Jun
Ok, so I posted a topic about 2 weeks ago because I had a pregnancy scare and started having, what I thought was implantation bleeding. This was a little more than a week ago. Well, it got a bit heavier so I passed it off as my period, although it was still REALLY abnormal, not to mention about a week and a half early. My periods are uaually really regular as well.
Well, now it seems that EVERYTHING has a super strong smell to it. I've also had some constipation, and now I have one of the worst miagraines I think I've ever had. I know these are common symptoms of pregnancy, and now I'm second quessing my assumed early period.
I tested about 4 days ago, while I was still lightly bleeding and it was negitive.

I was planning on texting on the 5th, because I was supposed to start on the 3rd. I started early, and now I'm wondering if it could've been a heavier implantation bleeding, or what?

It had went from pinkish/brownish discharge-to thick brown blood(not heavy) to actual blood, a bit heavier. So I thought it was just a really messed up period.

I'd really like to know what you mothers and mothers-to-be have to say. Maybe one of you has had an experience like this and can give me some adivce.
Really, I'd like to know if you think it could all be linked together as pregnancy and I should test, or whether you think it's all coincidence with a strange period.

Any responses would be greatly appreciated.
(BTW, please dont post negitive stuff, I just want some advice from someone who's been there._
Thank you.

Actually those are not SYMPTOMS of pregnancy, they just happen more often when pregnant. Unless you have missed a period, i wouldnt worry... if you miss it, then also have sore breasts, sickness, or extreme fatigue then i would guess pregnancy...

It doesnt sound like pregnancy, so I wouldnt worry TOO much... although it could be. If you really dont want to wait till your next period I would test again or go to the doc. to get a blood test done.

You may want to wait another week or so and test, just to be sure. I had something like that happen to me at the beginning of my pregnancy (I thought I was already pregnant, then I started bleeding like that). All of my tests came back negative, though. I didn't get a positive until I was 6 weeks pregnant, so while I was bleeding, I was actually preggo.

You could always go and get a blood test done hun. I would probably wait another week (I know how long that sounds) to test because even though you may be pregnant some tests are less sensitive than others and a positive may take longer. It also depends on how much of the pregnancy hormone you have in your system. Most tests that say they work 4 days before a period is expected aren't very accurate at that early stage...Wait until your expected period date at least and retest....Hope this helps and try not to stress too much!

Yeah about 2 weeks before I found out I was actually pregnant I had like two periods and wat seemed to be implantation bleeding and then come to find out 2 weeks later I was pregnant so i would suggest u wait another week again before testing again because I did end up actually missing a period and then I tested. Good Luck!

Thank you! That's probably what I'll do. I'm debating on whether to take my birth control though, I mean I dont want it to hurt it , I was supposed to start my pills yesterday, but havent yet, if I am pregnant do you think it will hurt it if I am? I wont be seeing my boyfriend anytime soon so I'm not in any danger of that, but I'm not sure.

Any auggestions?

mm id say no because IB is not 2 weeks before your period!it is typically one week to a few days before, and is brown or pink and light or spotting. Why not jus take a test?   if its strong enough to give you all these 'symtoms' then im sure its strong enough to show on an early HPT!! Just use protecting in the meantime and take a test.

It sounds like you are having an unusual cycle which is not unusual for someone your age. Your body is still maturing and around that age my periods became irregular for a time. Things straighten out eventually but you may want to seriously consider birth control to allow your body time to regulate and choose it's pattern. My mom was 17 when she had me and has always said it was the biggest mistake in her life. So have a life before you start worrying about having a pregnancy. It not all that great. Take it from someone whose on number three.

Ok so i'm saying two of rhem were irregular, and one of them seemed to be implantation bleeding.....And then I ended up just totally missing my next one and thats when I knew for sure I was....So when I had the period that seemed to be implantation bleeding I think I was already pregnant. Even tho the test was saying negative at first.
