I am going to be separating from my husband but i'm not moving out for at least 4 months because i am currently almost 31 wks pregnant with our 3rd.
i have been a stay at home mom since dec when i got out of the navy and we live in baltimore,md where it's not exactly cheap. i am trying to find info on financial assistance or whatever i can for when i have to move out.
my husband has said that he would try to help me out but doesnt know how much he'll be able to afford as we'll have to put the kids in daycare again since i wont be home any longer. the hardest part is finding a job that will pay me ok. i was in the military for 6 yrs and do not have a degree.
does anyone know of any programs where you can get financial assistance? i dont know how welfare or any of that works. any advice would be nice as i will have a lot going on with 3 kids, one being a newborn. thanks.

Go to your local Department of Human Services [[should be in the phonebook]] and apply for FIP, medicaid [[if needed]] and food stamps... FIP [[or something similar]] is the one where you get money each month to help out but he will be forced to pay child support...
I hope things go well, and dont feel bad for needing assistance, you are exactly the type of situation where it should go!! Im sorry about your situation, but if you have any questions PM me, i only know how it is in Iowa, but ill help as much as possible!!

Hi Lissa!! So are you guys getting a divorce? Where are you planning on staying? Once you know what county you'll be in you can start researching programs. I'm sure you'll do fine. You're a smart girl and your kids know you'll take good care of them. You know where to find me when you need me. Love you!

I live in Missouri and I got on Medicaid for my pregnancy and WIC. I think that WIC is nationwide but not sure. It is a supplimental program that provides milk, formula, cheese, etc. It was easy to get on I just had to prove financial need the same for the medicaid. Most programs will help as long as you can prove that you have a financial need for that assistance. As for as daycare I know that Missouri has daycare assistance. I would suggest getting online and googleing it. Or call your local department of social services. Good Luck with everything.

Im on..
Wic- i get milk, cheese, cereal, eggs & then formula when babys born.
Medical Assistance- Covers ALL medical bills of mine & babys.. but doesn't cover circumsision.<<--dnt know if i spelt that right..
Food stamps- Since my babys not born & i work full time, i get $60.00 a monthf or me, until he's born then ill get like $300.00
DWP- Diversionary Work Program, I get $250.00 a month in cash while im pregnant, and then i can be on Cash assistance when the babys born & ill get $400.00 then.
& try to apply for HRA, housing assistance, youll probley have to be on a list but my best friend was on the list for 3 years, and now lives in a 3 bedroom apt. for $130.00 & the rent at that apt. for normal people is $1,500.00 so im pretty sure ITS WORTH THE WAIT! lol
OH & childcare, since im on the DWP thing, they help with that when my babys born also, or you can apply for babysitting assistance through the county.
FOR ALL THIS STUFF I CALLED HUMAN SERVICES, GOT ASSIGNED A WORKER, & SHE HELPED ME FROM THERE.
hope this helped!
