re: positive birth story

I must admit, I am very very proud of you. I've been scared for a few week,... ok.. monthsnow. I can't imagine myself giving birth b/c I'm such a wuss! Sounds like I have alot to look into, and hope my birth goes as smoothly as yours. Congratulations on your beautiful little angel!... God Bless

He is so cute! I must say, my labor with my son was easy, too. Even looking back, I don't remember alot of pain. I did go for meds, though. I was actually sleeping when my water broke - 6 weeks early. I thought I just peed the bed. Anyhow, I went in and was 1 cm. They started me on pitocin and I started feeling the contractions. I made it to 5 cms and asked for an epidural. I wasn't in a lot of pain, Ijust wanted to stay ahead. Anyhow, 16 hours after my water broke, several episoded of Friends and 2 additional hours of pushing, my son was born weighing 6 pounds 9 ounces! I feel like my labor was so easy. I am worried about this current 1, though. I feel like I can't be blessed 2 times in a row!!! LOL!

yeah, i know sometimes things dont go as planned but i dont think people should work themselves up bc in the end, all the pain and nine months of anxiety goes away after you see your baby  ..i mean i will admit, i was expecting the worst of the worst the whole way thrubc i was so paranoid of everything going wrong! other than the back labor, everything went smoothly in the end!

I'm in Juneau too! I had a natural (back labor too, ugh) birth as well! Who was your midwife? I don't recognize you, just when you think you know everyone in this town!

What a beautiful baby. You looked so good after you gave birth. I looked horrible and bloated from all the water in my IV. Well, then again, after 2 hours of hard labor 10 cm dialated with no epidural, I think I deserved to look a little haggard. What a beautiful story mama!!

Way to go! I'm proud of you going natural, especially because you had so much fear about the pain. And you're right, our bodies were created to have children, so it's nothing to stress over!

omg he is a cutie wow, thats an amazing story, yea i learned that sex can induce labor, i was just in the hospital day before yesterday because i was having contractions bad and when i walk i felt the baby right there like he was gonna fall out to mention im only 6 months, so at the hospital they told me i was severly dehdrated and the reason for contractions was because well u know... so the doctor said to wait too months before we do that agin and luckily i wasnt dialated but i did have to stay in the hospital for too days with contractions and a ivy.. not fun
