There's a spot on the site where you can look for retailers in your area that carry them.

Normally people dont see why you care if you dont have to actually see it happen right next door. Most people take it as out of sight out of mind and thats whats causing such a trashy earth

I love all you green mamas! We should make a section for that. And how much more greener we can be sticking all our brains together. And maybe, just maybe, someone who doesn't know any better stumbles upon it & learns to be a green mama too!

there should be a section for that. The more you spread the word the better off everyone would be. It just sucks that there is alternatives but people still choose to do what they know from their parents. I have disposable diapers that I got from the baby shower but I plan to use cloth inserts. Its hard explaining to people what diaper inserts are when they never heard of them

I agree! My kids are really getting into being green. If we go to the park and they see water bottles they bring them home to recycle.

I put inserts into my gdiapers so I don't have to buy the liners to often. It works really good.

hey man, i recycle my pop/water bottles  i recycle lots of things, but diapers???? uh, no. Theres only so much you can do, and some people gotta realize that one (or 1000) people just arent gonna make a difference no matter HOW hard they try. Sorry. NOT bashing your choices, just stating my opnion.

if you are used to using disposable diapers and throwing them away, its harder to adapt to using cloth diapers. and of coarse, there is more women, then just here on babygaga, who also cloth diaper and I think it does make a difference. and thats my opinion.

I love g-diapers because unlike cloth, they have a liner that you remove and either a) flush down the toilet and decomposes when it touches the water or b) add to a compost pile that will break down and be used as fertilizer.

http://www.realdiaperassociation.org/diaperfacts.php

To each his own. It might take a while but maybe in 10 years if everyone keeps spreading the word. They could change all diapers to biodegradable. It might not change anything now but you gotta try. Im tired of going to the river here and seeing disgusting diapers out of towners have left from a recent holiday. Im not bashing regular diapers either because that is convenient. Especially for me since they dont sell them in my town and I would have to keep re-ordering them offline. It is easier just to go to the store and buy some and be done with it. And im sorry but 100- 1000 people can make a difference. From birth to toilet training, a baby goes through an average of 8000 diaper changes. http://healthychild.org/resources/article/first_steps_the_diaper_debate/And if 1000 moms switched to cloth or inserts then thats 8000000 diapers less in the landfills per mom! So yes I think it would make some difference being that it takes regular diapers 500 years to biodegrade when it takes approx 34 days for the inserts to biodegrade. Thats all Im saying.

where did you get the idea of recycling diapers? That is not what these are at all...they are biodegradable and flushable...which is much better than letting them sit in a landfill forever. Even if you think that only one person can't make a difference, they can...picture an average eight diapers a day for 2 years...sitting in a landfill for 450 years...that's 5840 diapers from one person not caring. That many diapers take up a lot of space!

I saw the gDiapers and was instantly sold on them and have heard lots of good reviews. My mom is starting us out with them and then we will keep up with the flushable liners.
