ASAP, he may not hear your voice, but he will feel the vibrations, and sense your relaxation. Its a great way to bond with your baby, at any time during pregnancy. My hubby read to Kae in my tummy every night while I was preggo, and now they have an unbreakable bond. If he comes in, and no hello kisses, she cries. Mommy comes in, and no hello kisses, who cares. She hardly notices lol. She does cry whenI leave though.

I heard that most babies can start to hear noises inside the womb at about 6 months or the end of 6 months! Hope that helps

well, the week by week thing tells you when they can hear you... i think its like week 22 or something... but i think they can hear you before that.. hahaha again, ask your doctor!! hahaha... if anything, i would say let specky listen to music now.. might as well let them feel the vibrations even if they don't have ears yet!!

And, I think they have to have an inner ear first... i would look it up on here and see what it says... i really can't remember when it says their inner ear is developed... or really when it says they can hear..

23 weeks!   I just read it yesterday when I checked to see what happens to my baby this week.

I'm only 23w and have noticed my baby is already responding to voices and sounds. But I did read a study about playing music to the unborn baby and it actually had some negative findings.

I'm assuming your asking about the study...
I'll try and find it but it basically said parents who play music to there unborn baby are more likely to be over baring on studies. Creating more pressures on the child. It also said that it can disrupt the babies sleeping pattern. Causing delayed growth. That's what it said anyway.

I'm a hardcore Queen fan now, that and The Dead Milkmen which my Dad played all the time. I don't think I'll go for headphones, just play it throughout the house, or on the radio in the car. I'm ready to start reading Harry Potter to him (fingers crossed).
