lack of movement

posted 30th Jun
im 39 weeks and 3 days along, i haven't felt my noramlly active baby move since yesterday morning. Im starting to freak out and get really worried. Should i call my doctors office or labor and delivery because im so far along? Or is this normal because he is running out of room to move around and getting ready to come out? help! please!im worried. thank you.

Drink something like OJ and lay on your left side.. If you don't start to feel anything call your Dr.

Have you counted and timed the movements?

10 or more movements in 1 hour. Any less than that you should go to the hospital.

I am 39 weeks in a few days and my baby is still kicking and squirming and whatever else she does in there with regularity. There are times when she is asleep and she won't move for about 30 minutes or so but I have noticed that she seems to be more awake than asleep. Like me. When I am awake, she is awake.

I suggest go to the hospital so they can properly check for you. All the best.

Go GO Go, if you haven't felt anything you need to go in. I had this happen to a friend and I will not tell you the outcome, but as far along as you are, def call your doc.

Im due at the same time and for the past couple days I haven't been feeling him much either. My doctor says its fine. But if your scared go to the LD. It never hurts to check. You should be stress out now. But I'm sure your fine. Cause I'm going though the same thing.

They slow down on their movement just before birth. They start to reserve their energy. You should do the kick test and relax. Drink something cold and sweet, lay on your left side and count how many times he moves in a hour. I'll bet that he is fine and is just resting for his big arrival!

Gives them a sugarboost...makes them hyper just like kiddos on the outside.

But yes, you need to go into L & D.

I agree, you should do the kick test.... If it's less than 10 movements call your doctor.. If you can't get a hold of them then I would call or go to L&D... Dont' stress though usually about this time the baby's movement really does slow down...

If I were you I would do the movement test and then call your doctor. I had asked my doctor about this just last week. He told me that no matter what anyone tells you, your baby does not stop moving because they are running out of room. He said that the movements may not be quite as strong, but you should still be able to feel the baby everyday up until delivery. He told me that if I didn't think the baby was moving as he should then I should call the office and they would have me come in, so yes, I would call!!
