bleeding

My son is teething like a mad man. He has chewed on something and somehow managed to cut his gums on the top.. it's bleeding, not bad, but constant. I gave him a cold, wet wash cloth to chew on. Is there anything else I could do?

I dont know of anything but I was just gonna say that he might be actually cutting a tooth. My nephews and a couple of my sister's friend's little girls bleed when their tooth comes threw.

There's not much else you can do. My daughter had a nasty fall that cracked open her lip and cut her gums and luckily my friend is a dental surgeon and was there and assured me that the mouth is always the fastest healing place on our bodies. Mouths do bleed a lot but it's normal , apparently.
If you are worried, you can call a pediatric dentist.

I figured there was nothing more I could do.. just wanted to check to ease myself. I don't think it's a tooth.. he was chewing on a toy on his exersaucer and I think he chewed a little too hard and pulled the toy out at the same time. And plus, it's on the top.. don't babies get their bottom teeth first?
