How has being a mother changed you and your life?

Hi all.

I realize this is a pretty broad question .
I'm wondering,how is your life different since becoming a mom?Not just by way of time to see friends,how much money it takes to run a household,but also your outlook on life?How has being a mother affected how you see yourself,how you relate to other people,what's important to you,ect?

I wasn't sure which forum to post this in...if this isn't the right one,I'll move it.

I used to not really mind what my husband and i ate, if it was fast food or junk food or what not, now we eat healthy so that our son will be healthy, we go outside more, and excersie more, just so that we will set a good example for our kids. no more swearing, stuff like that!

Oh yah defanetly. I used to be really selfish like the whole worled revolved around me and only me, then I gort pregnant and slowly but surly I realized it's no longer about me but the child growing inside of me. I've realized also that life is the most prechious thing and to waste it is to waste away.

Obviously you aren't a mother or you wouldn't ask a question like this, so I would REALLY like to know how you intend to change misinformations... Misunderstood thoughts are part of what this site is all about.

things mean more to me now.
i was selfish, no one mattered but me. and now my needs and things are last on my mind, not only my child, but i seem to put every one in my life ahead of me

How has it not changed my life? Nothing, absolutely nothing is the same, but in a good way!   I am full of so much love and happiness that it hard to contain. Every conversation I have somehow turns into something about diapers or Gavin's newest development/milestone. I am much more protective about myself and my hubby, because I want to make sure we are both here to protect and care for our child. I am also a lot more sensitive when it comes to everything, especially things having to do with children. They hit me much harder. And the list goes on....

It made ma appreciate the little things in life. I realised that there are bigger things than myself and doing what I want when I want. That there was beauty in everything. I learned to stop and see life through my kids eyes every now and then. I have learned that there is more power and honor in being Mommy than anything I could have imagined, and that its very humbling. I could go on and on. LOL On the practical side, I took a crash course in finances (hello strict budget!) psychology, (because I said so!) anatomy (ER or not?), cooking (but I don't like chicken! Oh, its not chicken... Its... just eat!) and bartending (Its been one of those days, get me a stiff one!) LOL

Oh no,nothing like that.I'm going to school this fall for child psychology(I've just finalized my decision), and I'm just curious.People give me lots of different answers,but they are all positive.Sorry it took so long for me to respond to your question,I didn't really plan to keep my account and just forgot about it for a while.
