April 2008 mommies...

how are the babies doing ... learning anything new? how old? and yes i was also wondering how many hours your babies are sleeping at one time during the night... just curious

i was sopsta be a aprill mommy, he had other plans
Maddox will be 2 months July 7th, and just this week he started sleeping 7-8 hours at one point in the night  
i thought he died the first time becasue he would only sleep 6 wake and eat and the sleep 4 more
he makes cute little noises and smiles so much, he still doesnt roll over, and cant quite grab things he tries but its not working yet haha

Isaac will be 12 weeks on the 8th! He's rolled over a few times, though i've yet to see it! He's kinda laughing and smiles a lot, especially early in the AM. His favorite thing to do is play kick the blanket off! LOL He LOVES being outside. I've just started back to work and he likes to keep dad up all night till I get home!

Kailie is 11 weeks and SMILES all the time! Last week she started sleeping through the night (for the most part-she has been sick and waking up the past couple nights). She tries to roll over w/no success yet! She is getting pretty good at holding her head up too  
It is crazy how quickly they grow!!! It feels like she was just born yesterday!

It makes my morning a little more bearable to wake up to such a happy little guy!

Hey I have an Isaac too!!! he will be 12 weeks tomorrow.   He hasnt rolled over yet but he does sleep through the whole night waking up once around 4am to eat. (hey ill take once over 3-4 times!) lol. He started holding stuff with both hands and bringing it to his mounth on his own. He just started taking 5oz too! Hes really good at holding his head up ...and has been since he was 3 weeks old. Oh ya and he just started liking his binkie again! thank god! =0)

5 oz?? omg i wish my son still drank 5 0z. we're drinkin 10 oz at night right before he goes to bed other wise 6- 7 oz. he's 2 months 6 days but he was big when he came out too... so that may play some roll... he rolls from tummy to back since 1 1/2 months smiles and sleeps 7 hours through the night.... im just waiting for the laughing.

Aly is 10 weeks today! My husband and I are taking her for her 2 month check up and to get her shots today. I am so nervous and think I am going to cry more than she does! She was born at 5 lbs 6 oz and is almost 10 lbs already! I can't bleieve how fast and big she has gotten! She is all smiles now and coos and laughs like crazy! She is going through an I only like mommy stage - she cries like crazy when daddy holds her. I feel so bad because my hubby thinks she hates him! LOL! As far as the sleeping through the night - ha, I wish! This girl has no sleep schedule what so ever! She also HATES tummy time! She will scream till the point of choking when I put her on her tummy....any suggestions with that

Yay for Isaac's! LOL On nights I don't have to work he usually wakes up maybe once, sometimes not at all, until daddy's alarm goes off at like 5:30. But the alarm doesn't even have to go off, he wakes up at that time even on weekends, but is usually just hungry. We nurse and he's back to sleep until about 8 or 9, depending on what time my other kids wake up. Poor daddy though. On the nights I do work, it's usually 5 pm - 2 am, and he's up on and off until I get home!

OMG 10oz? lol. Isaac was 8.9lbs when born and is 13.7lbs now. hes a little chunker. but hes still barely killing the whole 5oz's. He does eat every 1 1/2-2hours though...im trying to get him to go 3 hours but he just wont. He hasent even tried rolling over (man i have a lazy boy) lol. and he hates tummy time! the back of his head is kinda flat cause im not rotating him enough  ...but thats kinda immposable cause he hates all the other positions.

what i did to try and lengthen the night time sleeping is i would have the exact same scheduale every night ... lay him on my bed put him in his pjs lotion him down change his diaper and i keep the big light off and turn the little lamp on so it'sdarker that way he knows that it's bedtime since it's a routine he knows it's that time again.... I normally do this at about 9 every night.... and i try to hold him off eating until this time so that he's nice and hungry so that he eats a lot and sleeps longer!!! good luck
