lol aww sweetie guys are stupid. So many of them don't get all excited about that stuff like we do. Maybe get his imput on the bigger things and then bring your mom or a girlfriend for all of the cute little fun stuff   My husband wants a say in the furniture and color of the nursery, the paint and the "manly" things but as for blankets and onsies, he's not too interested lol.

My finacee helped. We went the night we found out it was a girl and registered at Target and Babies R Us, he scanned everything we walked by and liked. Haha, I had to go online after and change it all!!! He has no idea half the crap he picked out I just went and took off! && I changed a lot. We already had our shower and got pretty much everythign off the registry and he has no idea what we did and didnt get!! Guys could care less about that stuff! The most important thing is that they help with picking out hte room decor & car seat/wahtnot.

lol well, thats one thing my husband is really good about...he talks to my tummy and kisses it and keeps his hand there for hours trying to feel something...anything! But I know many guys who, until they actually see their child and hold him, they don't connect like we do.

I went with Mike.  We went the day we found out Adison was a girl...went to the dr, called our parents, had lunch, then went to BRU for a registry extravaganza..  It was fun, but if he doesn't want to go w/ you, then it could be just as nice to do it w/ your mom or a friend or even on your own.  Think of it this way: YOU get to pick out everything for your baby, so you can have the nursery however you want...believe it or not, picking out the quilt/bumper/etc pattern was a big fight w/ us several times, until we FINALLY found one we both liked...and it was for a girl...then a week later we found out her gender and so at least we knew what to register for w/ the bedroom in mind.  Either way, don't let him spoil it for you, have fun and DEFINITELY go to teh store to pick things out so you can test the strollers and see things in person.

I have done everything so far by myself. He's excited about the baby coming but doesn't want to help in preparing for him. So I basicly do everything which really depresses me sometimes.   I registered online and sent it via e-mail. I don't really know if i will be getting a baby shower, plus family and friends that can't be around can still get something if they want.

Most guys just can't get excited about breast pumps, pacifiers and onesies. My husband went with me, and helped as best he could, but that was more out of fear of The Horminator making an appearance than any real interest. His interest is building furniture, installing the car seat, the "manly" stuff like that. He gets a real kick out of doing those things.

You really have to accept that men and women have different desires, fill different roles and care take in different ways. You can't expect him to feel the same way as you about itty bitty little socks.

mannnnn...... we went to register at burlingtons and i will never take him with me again. it was horrible. he was sick of seeing girlie stuff so start picking blue stuff, snoopy stuff, and ugly cheap looking things. not that im having a shower full of expensive things but can we at least get something that doesnt look like it came from the dollar store. he also said that we shouldnt put clothes and small things on there cuz we can buy it ourselves. lol i had to laugh and ask so when should we cancel the shower and who is rich enough to buy EVERYTHING to start of with a baby. he said this is for women! lol lol i think u should b happy he doesnt want to go.
