I feel like I failed.

My daughter has developed pneumonia and I have no idea how severe it is. They have not told me. But i feel like i failed my daughter. I was suppose to take care of her make sure she is healthy. But look im sitting in the er waiting to be transported. I feel like such a horrible mother!

You are not a bad mother. Don't blame yourself. It's not your fault and I'm sure you've always done everything you could to keep your daughter healthy. These things just happen sometimes and you did the right thing by taking her to the hospital to get checked out. Hopefully she'll be back to her normal self very soon. I'll keep my fingers crossed for both of you.

Both of my sons had pneumonia this winter, at the same time. At first I thought it was just a cold and would pass on it's own. It wasn't until they were having trouble breathing that I took them to see their pedi. I never thought of me being a bad mother though. We don't always know exactly what to do, children don't come with instruction mannuals.
Don't feel bad, I am sure she will be OK and you will be there to make sure she gets that way.

I used to get pneumonia real bad as a kid.
