Hi ladies! I am concerned because my soon to be 1 year old daughter has been acting fussy and been getting up in the middle of the night crying and won't go to sleep. We took her to the doctor because i thought it might be an ear infection, but it wasn't they said she has a viral infection. But she's been acting this way for the past 1 1/2 weeks now. Do you think it might be because she's teething, she doesn't have any teeth right now, do you think she's having a hard time with it? Any suggestions please? Thanks!

Wow. She could be teething. If she's running a slight fever that's probably what it is. Watch her and see if she chews on her bottle or pacifier with her gums. I can't believe she doesn't have any teeth yet=P

That's what i thought too, i know she's doesn't have any teeth yet? She's been soo fussy, and gets up like 2 times during the night and crying and as soon as she sleeps on the bed with us, she's okay. Ugghh!

It's probably teething.
But also, my daughter went through the same thing at the one year mark. We eventually figured out it was because she knew Daddy came home late, so she would wake up completely just to spend some time with him. I don't know what your circumstances are, but maybe keep a close eye on your nighttime activites. It may be something you're doing that you don't realize could be making her wake up.
We eliminated the problem by having him come home on certain nights before she goes to bed. And today he came home at 3, and spent the entire afternoon with Emma.

Oh, if she stops when she gets to sleep with you, then I don't know. I just posted about that with my `13 month old. He has become VERY clingy, even though he spends all day with me as it is.
