PP sex...

Just a question...
Is it necessary to wait 4-6 weeks to start having sex again? I'm 2 weekspp as of thursday and we've had sex already. I didnt have any stitches or anything like that, and I felt that my body was ready for it. I had a very easy delivery and I felt like my good old self again the next day! I was so surprised. (of course we used protection.) I was just wondering if anyone else had sex this early after baby and what did your doctor say about it?

Yes, your cervix has to have time to close.

My friend had sex 2w4d PP(not her choice) & got a baaad infection in her uterus & now is unable to have anymore kids...

Obviously you don't think it's important to wait 4-6 weeks if you had sex 2 weeks pp. They tell you to wait because you need to heal. Also anything being inserted can cause infection.

You can but you risk getting some serious stuff...

You just had a baby and probably aren't fully healed yet.
You can get pregnant VERY easily.
You can also get infections easily too.
If at your 6 weeks doctors appointment you wanted to get b/c you would have to wait until your period because you could have gotten pregnant.

There's a reason why your doctor says to wait ....

as others have said, you aren't suppose to have sex or use tampons because there is an increased risk of infections since your cervix needs time to close.

my midwives told me after my 2nd one that you will know when your body is ready..your cervix does remain open for about 6 wks but as long as you use a condom, you should be fine..but tampons are still a no-no..they are breeding grounds for an infection..so if you feel you are healed, you probably are...some heal faster than others.and u know your body better than anyone else...i am 4 wks pp and we are having sex regularly now and i just had a 3 wk pp check up and she said it was perfectly fine as long as we used a condom...

What is the deal with people not being able to wait to have sex???? Jesus, your body just went through something pretty traumatic, and the doctor told you to WAIT... you can't control yourself for a few WEEKS????

sheesh if you arent allowed to put a tampon up there then why would you be able to have dick up there?!! seriously though i cannot imagine being able to have sex only 2 weeks pp! wish i couldve done though   we waited 10-12 weeks and even then i was kinda nervous. Lucky you for feeling so great so soon after!

hey it is a little hard for some of us... I had my son on the 19th and I already want sex.... I went from 3+ times a day to 0... so it is kind of hard... I havent done it yet but I'm not going to lie and say I don't want it

that is why my midwife says only w/ a condom..they are pretty sterile..as with a dick w/ out one..not so sterile..but i had sex also at 2 wks pp..i was scared but it didn't hurt at all...it felt normal..
and come on sometimes you just can't wait..idk about you guys but i get tired of giving head and not getting nothing in return other than being pissed off cause i'm in the mood and can't do nothing about it..lol

agreed..it is sooooo hard...i didn't have it that much during my pregnancy but now my sex drive is back and i want it all the time!!..lol

lmao i didnt even give head for a while either, if i had to suffer then so did he lol   I feel where you girls are comin from though, im always in the mood - preggo or not lol. What really bugged for me was when i wanted him soo bad but i couldnt cos i was too sore and had all sorts of complications. Infact hubs is out of town for the weekend and it sucks cos i cant get any lol All the same, when it comes to your health we just have to have a little will power, and if the man cant wait then he isnt worth it in the first place!

I am totally with you on this one. There was no way in hell Chris was getting anywhere near me with his penis or anything else for that matter.

Yeah I have a major sex drive right now but I'm going to wait longer... I haven't even hit 2 week pp yet lol plus I have stiches
