Yes and I am taking medical advice , my doc said that the stress would be worse !!!! There for to cut back as much as I can without stressing me or the baby out. That was his medical advice.

Ladies, why is everyone fighting on here, it's making me need a cigarette bad. I am still smoking and I don't want to but it has been a lot harder to quit than I thought. I just pray my baby will be okay. I wish everyone luck with it as its not easy. I admire the girls that can just stop cold turkey. For the rest of us it sucks and doesn't mean we are selfish, it just means its harder for some than others.

My dr. said that quitting completely will actually put the baby in a shock since I smoked alot the first 2 months, didnt know I was prego until I was 8 weeks due to an irregular period.. I still smoke, sometimes very little, sometimes a little more depending on my stress level.. & believe me I am stressed!
I am 37 weeks. At 35 weeks the baby was 6 lbs 8 oz. which my dr. thought that was very big. She's expecting me to have a9 or 10 lb baby. YIKES!

I never smoked in my whole life and i actually hated it, but when i got pregnant i started to love it, i was smoking ALL DAY LONG, of course i didnt know i was prego, but when i found out i was preg @ 8 weeks, i quit smoking since that exact day
i ve wanting to smoke since then but im waiting until im done breast feeding my baby, when that day comes, ill smoke happily all day long

I agree with you. My husband's mom smoked while she was preg with him and it made me so angry

This is touchy for some but it seems like a no brainer. Your pregnant quit smoking. This whole "I'm stressed out" so I can't quit I just don't buy. The second I found out I was pregnant I quit and haven't had one since. Do I want to smoke? YES, but there is no way in hell I'm going to subject my unborn child to the toxic elements of smoking. The thought of putting a smoke in my mouth is just disgusting. My cousin smoked through here 2 pregnancies, she delivered healthy boys underweight mind you. Now after a few years are the affects being seen. Chronic asthma in both boys! Knowing that I did that to my child would kill me, especially since it was preventable. If this was a post about drinking and pregnancy would the responses be any different if someone said "I drank a 6 pack today? "
