Can you have a neclace on when in labor and delivery I never take off my hubbys dogtags that also has my rings on it will they make me take it off?

I wore all my jewelry during labor!

i havbe 5 hoiles in my face and didnt need to take them out so i dot see why a necklace would be a problem

I wore limited jewelry just because if you have a section they will make you take it off, but you can definitely wear them during labor.

I was told your not aloud to because if you have to have an emergency csection they use an eletricsl thing that can shock you really badly because the eletricity can jump to the metal.

Sentimental jewelry is usually allowed... i wore St. Gerard, whois the patron saint of childbirth, expectant mothers and pregnant women. I know several people who wore their late mothers rings around their necks.

The only jewelry i think they require be removed is tongue rings because of the risk of choking, also labia piercings for obvious reasons!!

It depends on the hosptial some let you and some won't. I wore mine during my labor. If you're going to have a c-section they won't allow you any jewelry. Have you preregistered yet? If not asked them at admissions.

I have all section everytime i had to remove all jewelry. Every doctor different talk to you doctor about it.

thanks everyone I will have to talk to my doctor since it seems like everyones has said different It just depends I don't know who will be delivering my baby its whoevers on call when i go into labor I hate that! and as you all know every doctor is different i havent removed them since the day my husband left for deployment
