theme parks and toddlers???

so a good friend of mine called me and asked if me and nicholas (my 2yr) would want to go to fiesta texas on thursday. It would only be $10 for me and nicholas is free.

I just dont know. We would be in teh water park most of the time an it isnt very busy during the week.

Have any of you taken your toddler to a theme park?

or do you think it is a bad idea ?

We went to Disney world when he was 23 months and it was okay. Granted we pretty much stayed in the areas designated for younger kids, it was pretty fun. I wouldn't see any problem with taking them to the water park there.

I took Cole to Sea World over memorial day weekend..and he wasn't really too into it. A water park would be fun, though. There just wasn't too much for him to do at Sea World.

I went to Fiesta Texas and it's so much fun..I think it'll be okay for him to play in the water, they have things for little kids too.. i'm sure he'll have a blast!!!

I think theme parks such as Disney are a waste on anyone younger than 5 yrs old. But...you said this is only $10 and a water park...so it's diff. It's very similar to a day at the pool. And I think a 2 yr old would greatly enjoy that.

ok yeah i think i am goin gto take him and well you cant beat $10 . I knoe they have the train there and he loves trains

i took my daughter last year to soak city (a waterpark) when she was 2. she hated getting her head wet so she didn't fully enjoy the day as much as she could have had she been willing to get in the sprinkler areas. but she loved it and wants to go back this year. we are also taking her to a amusement park this year (cedar point) but we will keep her in the kiddy area obviously. i don't think she will still have too much fun b/c she is such a chicken but i don't blame her i would probably be scared too if i was her age.
