Whats So Bad With...[Vent]

Whats so bad with being a teenage mom? I was on a site that alot of my school is on, and on someones blog they were like "Fuck all teenage mothers".
I could kill that kid right now, I really could.
Because theres nothing wrong with being a mother so young. nine chances out of ten he'll end up getting his girlfriend pregnant soon anyways.  

Sorry, I was jsut mad about that, and I think it helped to type it out. =P

People think ALL teen parents are bad because of statistics.
Unfortunately it's something every teen parent is going to have to hear about.
We know we're good parents,and thats all that matters.

I think it's just people don't seem to realize that not all teenage mothers are bad mothers. IMO...bad mothers come in all ages. But it's common thinking among most people that being a teenage mother means you're going to be a bad mom, which is not always the case. My cousin was a teenage mother and her daughter is awesome. She's a sweet kid and very intelligent..smart as a wip and very respectful.

It's something we're going to have to deal with. Im a teen mom and expecting again but that doesnt mean im a bad mother and it wasnt like i was TTC. Alot of people are stuck in the old days where things like getting pregnant at the age of 16-18 werent exceptable.

While being a young mom is not ideal, and I'm sure (I hope) most young moms would agree, that person should not have said that.

the negativity towards teen mothers and fathers!
its the media infecting peoples minds with the bullshit that teen parents are inadequate parents and unable to provide.. and that they should have used protection and yadda yadda!
well yes we should have been more careful... and i think we all know sex=babies at some point right it only takes one time!! .. but if we are choosing to have sex then we are hopefully dealing with the consequences. IMO age doesnt matter or determine what kind of parent you are. as long as you do your best and give the child what it NEEDS then you are doing what any parent does.

we just have to live with the negativity .. ignore it/ might as well cause its not going anywhere.

but i dont agree with it.. accidents happen.. people make mistakes. i wont ever call my child a mistake even though thats really waht she was i stepped up to the plate and took on full responsibility for my actions.. .. unfortunatly there are few girls who do take on the right actions after finding out they are pregnant.. and those are the ones giving all of us a bad name!

But Viktorya...you are very smart and mature for your age, I do have to say. I mean, I don't KNOW you, but I mean just from what I've seen, the way you speak and view things, you do seem have a good head on your shoulders.
