This sucks

okay so i started my job a couple of days ago, and i found out that they only pay commision,its such a bummer so i quit, but i might geta other job soon. finding a job thee days are so hard

 They didn't tell you your salary before you started???  That is nuts!

I think you should have stayed with that job unitl you found another one even though they pay based on commission. I' am a firm believer that it is easier to find a job when you have a job.

 Well, in NY there are labor laws that prohibit those business practices.  How old are  you?  JW, bc since you are posting in TP I would imagine you are a teenager, and (in ny at least) ifyou are UNDER 18 then there are even more strict laws for how many hours you may work & making sure you get your breaks in.  I would look into the labor laws for your state.

what in sam hill do you do? and i feel like one of the other posters, you should have kept this job and looked for another one, cause god only knows what could happen, you maynot find anything for months.

I dont know... I think I would have kept your job until you found a new one. And you may end up liking your job. My mom works on commision and she gets paid a lot more then she would salary.

no im eighteen its just what if i dont sell nothing i need something to back up on which means a salary, i do have a son and iam notgoing to waste my time not making any money, i would rather look for a diffrent job instead of wasting my time . One girl has been there a week and didnt recieve any money yet.(paid weekly FYI).

wow so there is like no base pay what-so-ever!!!! That totally sucks yeag i woulda quit too.
