does anyone have any teen pregnancy stories that would cheer me up ?
Im 14 years old, and I have a 2 month old that I love to pieces, it's just hard for me to face the fact that my life is totally different now. People keep saying " oh you ruined youre life " well I dont seem to think that I did, im not going to drop out of school because I wanna do something with my life & i wanna prove to myself & everyone else who said i ruined my life that I can make it as a young mommy.

I think it is cool you are trying to go somewhere with your life...but right now what can you really do? Can you even get a job? no offense

Well I am not a teen really anymore, but I definately admire your courage and perserverence. Prove everyone else wrong by staying in school and making the best life you can for you and your son. It won't always be easy, but it can definately be done if you have determination. Good luck!

My mom was 14 when she had me and she did drop out of school but she now has a great job. Yes she had to work really hard but I think being a teen mother will be hard, but just being a mother period is hard.

And I love my mother to death!!! She is my best friend and has been forever!

I agree/ People will talk a lot of crap, but you have to be strong and ignore it. Don't let them get to you. When I got pregnant at 18 a lot of my friends quit talking to me because they wanted to always go out and party and I couldn't. You find out who you true friends are when you have a baby. Is there any mommy/baby classes you could go to and meet other parents?

Well, I'd hope you didn't get pregnant on purpose, and I do think 14 is too young to have sex. I have a 14 yr. old sister & I don't like to think she's even considering it, lol. But I do respect the fact that you want to go somewhere in your life. All I can say is, yes, your life is going to be completely different, but deff. stay in school! You can't get anywhere these daays with no education. Hopefully you have a supportive family that can help you out. Good luck with everything! I like to think God only gives us as much as we can handle...keep that in mind

You didn't ruin your life at all...you just made it a LOT harder. A women I work with told me that "Wisdom is a wonderful thing to be able to share with your child, but so is youth and energy" It made me feel good to hear that.  You're young and if you set your mind to doing all you can for your child, then there should be no reason you can't achieve it. The odds are against you, but that doesn't mean it's impossible. Your son is very adorable!

Alot of my friends back in school were teen moms. No, you didn't ruin your life, it just took a different turn. Some of them turned out just fine and are doing very well today. Some of them didn't. I think it's just how determined you are to get where you want to be. I say go for it and prove them all wrong. It won't be easy but, it isn't for any mom of any age.

It was never easy, but ALWAYS worth it.

I had my son when I was 17. Being a teenage mom was never easy, but alway worth it. When I first got pregnant my mom was always supportive. I cant say that for the rest of my family.

No one would talk to me. I was an outcast. I remember being 5 months pregnant and my 10 year old cousin came up to me and said "are you going to keep that baby, because if you do, it will ruin your life." It wasn't the first time I'd heard that. I heard it from everyone. Well mostly my grandma and grandpa and my uncle. My aunts were very supportive along with my mom.

They told me I'd never make anything of myself. That I would be a high school drop out and wouldn't amount to anything.

I had a very complicated pregnancy. I went into preterm labor at 22 weeks. I was on bedrest from that point on. My grandpa (who is one of my favorite people in the world) finally came around. He started coming to visit me every day. He'd bring me puzzles and stuff to do and sit with me and do puzzles with me.

It took my grandmother a lot longer to come around. It wasn't until about a week before my baby shower that my mom finally said something to her. Now let me tell you, I've always been close to my grandparents, but when I got pregnant my grandmother didn't approve at all. She wasn't even going to come to my baby shower. My mom told her that if she didn't come to my baby shower that she would never EVER speak to her again.

Needless to say my grandmother came to my baby shower.

During this time no one knew that I was working thru the whole summer to finish high school. I had joined a program thru a local alternative school and was able to finish. I graduated at the beginning of my senior year, right before my son was born. My graduation date was 9/11/2001.

Ten days later on September 21st, 2001, my beautiful son Kiegan Lee was born. 6lbs 7oz, 21 inches long. He was beautiful.

My grandparents and everyone came to see him. They all love him to death.

As far as having a baby young ruining my life, it hasn't happened yet. When my son was 1 1/2 I started an associates degree program to get my medical assisting degree. I graduated the 2 year program in 10 months. I worked as a medical assistant for 2 and a half years.

In January of 2005 I met my husband Tyler. He fell inlove with me and Kiegan right away. I know it sounds silly, but I fell inlove with him because of how he was with Kiegan. He loved him so much. And treated him as if he was his own. We moved in together after only 3 days and have been together ever since. Kiegan calls him daddy.

In May of 2005, when I was 21, I got pregnant with Dawson. He was born February 3rd, 2006 and Tyler and I were married August 12th, 2006. Kiegan was Tylers best man. When I was pregnant with Dawson I got my bachelors degree in Business. It was a 2 year program that I finished in a year.

I am now a stay at home mom by choice. I am pregnant with my third child.

Being a teenage mom was never easy, but ALWAYS worth it. Judging a woman by her age and telling her she's going to be a bad mother is completely rediculous. There are women in their 20s, 30s and 40s and are horrible mothers.

My kids are my greatest accomplishments. Reguardless of what age I had them, they have always been taken care of, and are loved. Thats all that matters
