Tell Me, What Do You Think?

My bestfriend, her husband, my husband and I are going on a cruise in January. Well we were talking about it today at my house and I asked her who she was going to leave Ashley with. Well they said they were taking her with them. She will be almost ten months old when we leave. I told her I did not think it was a good idea for her to take Ashley since she would not have had all of her shots when we leave. Well she got a little bit upset and was like what else can we do with her? She did not trust anyone with her daughter and wanted to go. And also stated that my own daughter would be around fivemonths old and I would be leaving her. But she is staying the week with my mother who I trust 100% and I am not taking my fivemonth old on a cruise ship out of the country. So now I feel a little bad about what I said. Would you take your ten month old out of the country? We are going to Dominica, Barbados, San Juan, St. Kitts, Antigua, and St. Thomas

If I had the option to leave my baby with my mother I would do it and try to enjoy my cruise. But with her baby being so young I wouldnt think of taking my child.

I wouldn't but that's just me. I don't see how it would be a vacation with a baby around.

i'd takehim, i read somewhere online its pretty safe as long as you take the proper precautions, look at angelina jolie she travels all around the world with her baby daughter

if i was planning on having drinks... and go out and clubbin yea i would leave her behind... but if it werejust for family... not going out and just to veg on the beach i see y not...

When I went on a cruise a couple years back.. we had my then 2 year old niece & my 5 (or 6) year old nephew with us.

It was HELL. I hate to say kid's are a burden, but in that situation - they truly were. They really do somewhat keep you from having a good time, because someone is either always staying behind with them, or you have to have them in the ship's daycare, which means someone is always checking up on them & worrying about them. Not to mention when you port.

Me personally? I won't be taking my son on a cruise for a LONG LONG time. I'd have a hard time having the kind of vacay I wanted with a baby around.

I totally agree...hopefully, she (bf) will reconsider before the trip
