Artificial Insemination

So I asked my fiance about if he would be willing to do it, and he freaked out on me earlier saying that he will not do it because he doesn't want me to be pregnant with another guys baby. If it comes down to us never getting pregnant he said then we'll just adopt, then do my suggestion. So he caught me researching it just a minute ago and he freaked the hell out saying how if I really wanted to do that shit then I can go find someone else to do it with. what the hell? Its a last resort, my god! Theres no need to get fucking upset about it. grrr. Did anyone go through this process and have this much trouble with there bf/fiance/husband??

I think my fiance would probably act the same way. Give him some time to think about it and keep trying to get pregnant. Hope it works out for you!

If you don't mind me asking, Is he the one who is unable to produce?

Just wondering.. you said 'another guys baby' ... Why can't you use your fiance's sperm..?

My doctor said there was nothing wrong with me. And he already has a kid, but when he was a kid he had an accident and the doctor said it might effect him later in life. And his doctors found a tumor in his penis. So we aren't sure. And he is fighting me about going to the doctor to... so I'm just looking into back up plans just in case

*shrugs* thats how he looks at it. He won't let me explain anything to him. He just goes on and on about having another guys baby.

Honestly I started thinking about artificial insemination when I lost my first baby. My son's father and I weren't [and had not been] getting along, and I knew he wasn't father material...so I discussed it in secret with my mom sometimes even when he and I were still together.

The plan was that WHEN he and I broke up, I would pay for artificial insemination and take care of my child on my own. I've wanted to be a single mom for a while now, I dunno why.

But anyway, long story short, I got most of my wish. lol My ex is my son's father, yes, but we're separated and I'm a single mom.   It worked out.

  Thats good atleast. Your ex's sounds like a jerk. I thought about that, but *shrugs* I don't know if I could do the single mom thing. I left my fiance when I first got pregnant and he went so far as to call me a bad mom for leaving him. Then again he was drunk and I was emotional. So *shrugs*

WHy not consider doing an IUI. That is interuterine insemination. Essentially what they do is your guy will put his spermies in a cup and then they take the "bad"stuff out so it is really concentrated. Then they insert it into you, directly into your uterus. Go from there and see what happens.

I would, but my fiance got so mad that I suggested and was researching about AI that he stomped out of the room and told me not to bring it up again. Pssh! Now he's asleep and doesn't understand why I'm mad at him.

hah, When I was growing up it was hard on my mom being a single mom, but then again she had 6 kids, but only 5 lived with her. And now being a single mom is easy because she only has the 2 littlest ones to take care of. I don't think its weird to be a single mom, hell it might become a new trend, hopefully not but you never know.

why dont you think you would ever be able to not get pregnant? How long have you been TTC

Since feb. Its not that I don't think I can get pregnant. Its just my fiance won't go see a doctor to see if the tumor has gotten bigger or anything. So I was just looking into as a last resort. Its better to have a back up plan.

WEll he may not understand. But they can go in and use HIS sperm to artificially inseminate you. WHy does he assume it's donor sperm.
