re: I'm so confused about strollers and carseats!

Quoting Toby's mamma:“ the hospital my baby was at did a "car seat check" prior to us leaving to make sure the baby did fit ... [snip!] ... fit properly. Most hospitals do, because GOOD hospitals want to make sure your baby is in the safest seat you can get for them.”

I had an awesome hospital, but they didn't check car seats. They were being blamed for the parents problems and sued, so they can't tell others how to do it anymore.

Yeah, I got mine for $60 from babies r us. I read overwhelmingly good reviews about the frame. It definitely seems convenient. And I got advice here on BG that it's best to wait and see what type of stroller to get when the baby outgrows the carseat, because you never know, your lifestyle and the baby may only warrant getting a cheapy umbrella-type stroller, and then you'll save money. So I'm gonna see how it goes.

I got that a lot in some thread a while back. Like... OMG YOUR HOSPITAL DIDN'T CHECK!?

No! I kinda wish they did, though. I'll admit I had it in wrong from the hospital to my house.

I didn't even open the box, I went into labor three weeks early. My dad dropped it off at the hospital. I didn't even know how to adjust it, I remember crying in the hospital because nobody helped me with it. I had the base in wrong. Someone got on me for not reading the manual... I was like, "Ok I didn't expect to have this baby as soon as I did!!"

I had my laptop and was able to go on the graco website to download the manual, thankfully. I remember being in pain, though. My SO was getting ready somewhere, I just had a c-section and I couldn't lift it that much. I just remember crying and texting my friends because I didn't know what to do.
