Colposcopy

Has anyone ever had one? What's it like? What do they do? I have one scheduled for Monday, and I don't know what to expect.

They go up the bum with a camera

They go up and take pieces of your cervix to check for any precancerous change. The first one i had hurt like hell, but the second didn't hurt at all! I guess it depends on the dr. But really they are no big deal. Nothing to stress over just yet!!

Take a couple tylenol before ya go..The ache is comparable to a strong pms cramp.

They do go up with a camera, to your cervix/whatever they need to see and take tiny biopsies if they need to. And by tiny I mean like little tiny pieces. You'll be given a pad probably for afterwards if you bleed a little.

It's just a little uncomfortable and kinda nerve-wracking. You'll be okay...

i think thats when the ob looks at your vajaja with a microscope(sp) and it theres any abnormalities (sp) the he does the biopsy

correction, ithought she asked about a COLONOSCOPY. wrong end. lol

a colposcopy is just the doctor lookin at you tisues they take vigear to see if you have adnormal cell..they dont snip anything that would be a biopsy if they did

ok so some have said i was wrong and some have said the same thing as me lol


well if i am right it didtn hurt too bad. lol but i totally freaked and practically passed out on the table. haha yeah i am a wimp lol i also pass out when i get blood drawn and shots
