When should I...

Start washing the 0-3 month clothes, blankets, washclothes, socks, etc etc?

What about boiling bottles and pacifiers? I'll probably hold off on that but I was just wondering when everyone else started getting that stuff done.

Why not just do it now? I already washed some clothes. It took longer than I thought it would. Now it's just one less thing to do before my baby gets here.

Ha I probably am gonna start doin the clothes now. I just wanted to ask in case there is some dumb reason I didn't know about that I shouldn't. Like bottles will probably get dusty if I do them now, and need to be cleaned again but I don't see an issue with clothes. Just being paranoid lol

I'm waiting until after my baby shower so that I'll have a full load (hopefully) and then stocking the drawers! The won't dirty up put away, so why not get it out of the way so you don't have to feel rushed?

With my first son I didnt do any laundry until we came home from the hospital and my mom helped get it done in two loads. With this pregnancy, I have had everything washed and put away for almost 4-5 weeks now, because we won't make it to my due date. I'm gonna get a few bottles and nipples ready just in case we need them, and pack them up with my breastpump bag, but I'm planning on breastfeeding only.

I already washed Skye's clothes. LOL They are put away in her drawer ready to go.

Her pacis I will probably do when I put her diaper bag together and that's around 36 weeks for me. I won't be doing bottles, so I am not sure on that one. I'd probably wait a bit for them though- unless they are dried all the way when done and stored where a lot of dust won't collect on them (if they have nipple covers for them, then go ahead and do then now- why not? lol). I'd just make sure you allow them to dry all the way before putting them away.

For bedding I used to put it on the bed unwashed, until about 3 weeks before my due date (or in your case I'd do it 2 or 3 weeks before your induction date) then I pull it all back off and wash it. I know it seems silly to put it all on then take it off but I like to see it there all ready. Then know that it's nice n clean and dust hasn't been collecting on it for weeks on end. But that's just me. hehe

But the clothes- go ahead and do it now. You'll just store them in drawers anyway and they will be good to go! And you will have fun washing and drying and folding all their 'first' stuff!

LOL I know you are, but what am I?? hehe

Enjoy washing them. It's like the only time I don't find doing laundry a chore. It is SO fun. Washing all the tiny onesies and socks and jammies, and then staring at them smiling while I fold them all up.....ahhhh...makes me want to go wash them again. hehe

I washed all the clothes, sheets, blankets, burp rags, etc. several weeks ago. Do it now!! It will take a lot longer that you think. Then if you wait until you have your baby shower (if you are choosing to have one) you'll get hit with even more stuff and it will take even longer!

I just had my shower last Saturday, so hopefully I have all the clothes I'll be getting. Which is a lot!
