Dolls with Down Syndrome

So i was browsing through Abcbews.com and found this article about how they are now making dolls with down syndrome...what do you ladies think about this?

I think it is a great idea!!! They make dolls of all races and they make dolls with arm braces and wheel chairs so why not down syndrome??

When i first saw it i wasnt too sure how they would accomplish making a doll with down syndrome....but i thinks its a great idea..i mean they fight race problems with different race dolls why not down syndrome?

As a mommy to a wonderful 10 mo old little girl with Down syndrome, this is an amazing gift to our kids.

So many of us growing up wanted a doll "like us". I was wondering what I would ever say to Kelly if she ever asked me why her dollies or babies don't look like her... Now I don't have to. We have 3 coming to her for her 1yr birthday in Aug from different family members.

Thanks! We are kind of fond of her ourselves... I actually call her my Baby Hotty or Gorgeous Goofy Gus- she giggles hysterically everytime.I think she actaully knows what I am saying sometimes. LoL

*edited to add* Did you read the comments on the story? I did and even posted. I couldn't believe the ignorance or sheer stupidity of some ppl.

its really nice that finally people who are" different" are comming out and expressing it.
remember maternity barbie? they tried to take it off the shelvs.

now with down syndrom dolls there is finally a doll as inocent as they are.

on the subject of down syndron, I think its a gift. Its having your inocents forever. like.. a garunteed stop to heaven....
