ectopic and methotrexate?

I just found out this morning that I was 6 weeks along, and its an ectopic pregnancy. They gave me an injection of methotrexate and I was just wondering if anyone has any experience with this? I have to go back in 3 days to see if my HCG levels have gone down at all. Anyone with experience please help!

I found out on June 6 thatI had an ectopic pregnancy and I was also treated with methotrexate. The first week was pretty good started bleeding like a period. The second week was horrible the cramping in my pelvis was not the best, they told me to take aleve for the cramping.I have to do weekly blood work to make sure my "quant" level is going downI think it's just checking to make sure the pregnancy hormones are going down to normal level. I am still doing weekly check-ups, next week might be my last week since my quant level is going down, so the methotrexate is working. Hope this helps

thank you so much. That did help a lot. I am going back Thursday for more bloodwork to make sure that my HCG levels go back down.. I havent had any bleeding or any cramping or anything yet... But then again I just had the injection yesterday.. Im not really sure how long it will take to work.

The bleeding didnt start until after a few days after the shot and the cramping started a couple weeks after I got the shot. My HCG level us still not 0 based on my blood work yesterday my HCG was 14 and it has to go dowm to 0 so hopefully only one more time. Hope you are doing well
