ectopic and methotrexate?

I just found out this morning that I was 6 weeks along, and its an ectopic pregnancy. They gave me an injection of methotrexate and I was just wondering if anyone has any experience with this? I have to go back in 3 days to see if my HCG levels have gone down at all. Anyone with experience please help!

My aunt had this twice... The baby was stuck in her fallopian tube and it ruptured both times...
My friend just went through this also... the baby wasn't attached in the right place... so they had to abort the baby cause it would have hurt her.

I had an ectopic pregnancy in April and my OB told me the methothrexate doesn't always work. If it doesn't work the first time, you can get another shot of it. If it doesn't work then, the only option is surgery. It can be life threatening so it's pretty scary.
