Question About HPT!!!

My period is due today but so far so good and no AF showing her face. I have taken a HPT test on Tuesday...nothing.......Wednesday......the area where the red line would show didnt show red but rather it showed white???? I know that sounds weird! I just tested again a few minutes ago with different brand and again the area where the red is supposed to be for a positive, there is a white line illuminated! I am usually really late before my hormones get high enough to be detected in a HPT. Maybe the hormones are there and are playing a game with the HPT???? Not enough to make it turn red but to activate it in some way????? Has this happened to anyone else? Or maybe I am once again getting my hopes up for no reason. Does this happen to other tests as well? Cause like I said, I have used two seperate kinds of tests and it has happened twice, with the last two but not the very first I took on Tuesday.......

You should just go get a digital test!!! So much easier!   GOOD LUCK

I didn't test positive on pregnancy tests until 3 days after my missed period..which was weird since I later found out I'm having twins and the HPT levels are supposed to be higher.

I'd suggest saving your money and waiting a few days...I know it's hard waiting! GL!

Oh, I used the digital one as well. Negative on Thursday (1st day of period) and positive on Sunday.

awww I just noticed you're having twins!!! Thats soooo exciting!  

I dont have access to the digital ones. I live in a place where you cant even buy an HPT, I had them through the mail. The nearest place to here is a 1 1/2 hr ride by plane. We dont even have an hospital, only a clinic with one nurse. Life is simply simple here, lol! I will test again on Sunday. Congrats with the twins! I have always tested positive very late and hoping its the same this time as well. I tested late with my twins too and they say it should be earlier. With the twins I got a positive result at 39 days from last LMP and with my single babies I got a positive result at 49 days. So diffently got a wait ahead of me yet!

I read somewhere that the white or shadowed line that shows up where the pink one is supposed to is an evaporation line, and doesnt mean anything sadly. That sucks about mail ordering! I hope you got enough! and use them wisely!

I would get the Clear Blue Easy Digital. No lines, just PREGNANT or NOT PREGNANT!!

Send us a picture! It could be that there's something there but your eyes are playing tricks on you, making you think it's 'whiter'. It can'treally be whiter. It could be an evaporation line, or it could be something more.

what about trying a digital Preganant or NOT pregnant is easier to tell
