Movement question (36 weeks)

posted 26th Jun
I know were suppose to kick counts and all that , and normally I dont because shes nothing but a mover and a shaker ... However this evening , I really havent felt her move around too much , I dont blame her If i had the room she had Id not be moving anymore either ..

I HAVE laid down and drank something cold and Ive only got maybe 5-6 movements within the hour , Is that normal movements per hour for this far along , or should I make a trip to L&D and get things checked out ??

Im trying to avoid my l&d as much as possible since you go and your there for hours on end and get released with the same excuse everytime , oh its just round lig pain, or your dehydrated ..... Thanks for any advice

Its normal to feel less the further you are... If you are worried though, place something cold/frozen on your tummy, and give it a minute or two.... The baby should start kicking almost immediately... I've used this little trick a couple times over the last week, just to avoid an unneccessay trip to the ER.

you should still feel ten movements in an hour. Call L&D and let them know, they will probably ask you to do it again and go from there.

Movement doesn't not slow it just changes. Itstead of feeling kicks and hits, you feel more shifting, which can be harder to notice.

And yay for being almost there! you are soon to join the mommy of two princesses club!

9 times in a hour is what my nurse told me.

Things that may help:
Drinking OJ or a Regular Soda and laying on your left side.
Putting anything hot or cold on your tummy. ( My son hates my laptop because of the heat!!)

I dont get anywhere near 9 movements an hour as of this last week, but when I went in for a prenatal appt. today she measured fine and her heartbeat was on par. With being at 36 weeks..dont worry. Shes chunking up and running out of space. Give her a day though.. She could be having a really tiring growth spur. I amost went in last week after not feeling anything all day. Little bugger was sleeping.
