1st dr. appt in the morning

So i go to my first dr. appt in the morning. im 6 weeks pregnant and i know i will be able to hear the heartbeat. also i have been told that i will find out how many im having.. is this true.. its driving me crazy will i or will i not!!!

You may notbe able to hear the heartbeat yet....but dont freak out!
Its totally normal!!

You MIGHT be able to hear the heartbeat...but you probably have a better chance of seeing it then hearing it. At your next appointment you will hear it! You will find out how many babies are in there too! How exciting! Good luck to you!

I didn't hear Isaiah's heart beat that early.

I didnt hear mine until much later....I saw them at 7w4d......

You usually can't hear the heartbeat until closer to 10 weeks without an ultrasound. Good luck at your first appointment though!

Why do you think your having multiples?

I think I heard him at 12 or 13 weeks.

If they're doing an ultrasound yes. Being six weeks it might still be hard to hear the heartbeat, i heard it at 8 weeks. And they might just do your consultation, ask all the questions all that.

Yeah me too....I think it was about 11-12 weeks for me....

Very early they usually have a flicker...which means they have a 2 chamber heart....they have not yet developed a 4 chamber heart....so no heartbeat to be heard....just seen.....

at 6 weeks we didnt hear a heartbeat OR get an ultrasound, u ususally dont get ultrasounds unless u have complications or the "only" one u get which is at 20 weeks. My 6 week appt was nothing, basically I was told I was pregnant and sent home with a book, good luck!
