blankets?

My son is almost 8 months old, the dr. told me it would be best to wait until he turns 1 to give him a blanket to sleep with. I got curious tonight and I put one on him because I want to see if he will even care for it. Does anyone else let their baby sleep with blankets?

It is the only way Hayat will sleep. She has to have her blankie!

Now, to answer your question, I suggest no blanket as yet...just dress him warmly because they could still suffocate on blankets.

my baby wont sleep without a blanket. i just wrap her body and let her arms loose so she doesnt flip the blankie up.

My son will only sleep with his little blanket - he's used it since 8 weeks and when we would try to put him down without he would just scream. Then as soon as he saw his "blankie bear" he smiled, grabbed and fell right asleep. They don't recommend letting them have them, but he HAS TO!

I have a big fear of sids so i didnt give my son one until he was 1. I know some babies have had them and been fine but I just couldnt get past the fact that it could kill him. I just gave him his binkie to soothe him to sleep, and the plus side of that is binkies help prevent sids.

My daughter sleeps on her belly and I just lay it over the bottom of her legs and cover her feet. Her poor little feet get so cold!

I put one on Hunter. Mitch keeps this house so cold, he has to have a blanket!!
Plus i have an air purifier and a humidifier that i run in there also
