pink/light red?

I did a search and came up with nothing really. So sorry if this has been asked a million times.

I'm almost 35 weeks pregnant, I just went to the bathroom, and when i wiped...there was a pinkish/very light red on the toilet paper. There wasn't too much of it...but there was enough that it took a couple of wipes to get it all...

I'm pretty sure I read that this is normal around this time of pregnancy, but I can't remember. Is it part of my bloody show? (i have no idea what that's supposed to look like...) I've looked at pictures of the mucous plug and I think I lost part of that a week or so ago, it was a goopy brownish...could this just be more of the mucous plug in a different color???

Help!  

did you recently have sex? its prolly just something irritted your cervix. i wouldnt worry.

i would call your doctor just make sure everythings ok..If i notice anything newor if im concerned about something,i always call me doctor just make sure everythings ok

then cal the dr. sometimes the cervix get irritated and if nothign has been touching it then it could be infection or something.

i feel the same way to with my midwife sometimesbut if your spotting its something to be concerned about and he shouldnt think your bothering him

okay...i called. I'm just waiting for a callback from either my doctor or his nurse.

sounds like a bloody show, have you had any contractions or back pain.

well, i've had a lot of BH...but that's normal for me. and i've been sore around my lower stomach today, with mild cramping, but not anything strong.

the nurse called me back and said that my doctor said that it just sounds like everything's starting to progress, and if i start to get any worse contractions or cramping, then head to the hospital to get checked.

At my baby class she told us that our bloody show would look quite like that! Like the color of pink frosting, when you make it (like adding the red food dye to white frosting) and that sounds just like it!!!
I wouldn't really worry unless it was BLOOD!!! But you would be able to tell the difference. :O)

and...yes, it definitely was not "BLOOD" lol. it was pinky-light red and streaky, like mixed in with discharge (although there was more pink than white/clear).

i wasn't TOO worried, until lolajessup said the word "infection" (which i'm glad she did...i wanted to know EVERYTHING that it could be, haha). Then i was like, dialing the Dr. right away! They said not to worry, that it was everything progressing.

I don't think I'm going to make it to our due date! Madi will have to date an older boy

saginaw huh? i used to live in beaverton, but you prolly dont know where that is, but its like 45 mins away.
