Hey I'm for whatever works. Its ridiculous for people to think that a kid is not going to have sex "just because I said so" It's not reality!

psh high school is nothing...most to me are in middle school...when they first start trying to be sexy and wishing they were "video girls" or something like that.

No one should be able to tell a woman she must take bc. Mandatory? No Way.
There are tons of health problems etc that go along with bc. It is just not for everyone. If by bc you mean the shot or pills then no.

I do not think that age has to do with how good of a mother you are.I seen teens do better them grown women in the 30 and 40 all the time.

and no I would not make every teen take BC.

because abstinence isn't the answer, obviously.

Dpends on the case. Sure most of the time an 18 yo is out of the house, married, has a job, wheras a 16 has might have a job, could get married but only with parents consent and probably not out of the house. I've seen some underage moms be better then adult moms. Most teenagers are not equipped to be moms but with a little help with her family, they can do it.

And yes, I wanted to be on BC last January before I got pregnant and they wouldn't give it to me. So I think, with the exception of the persons religion, all teenagers from like when they hit high school they should go to the doctor and need to talk about they're situations and see if bc is the best.

Also, I think more teenagers should do more open adoptions. Not that they should adopt more kids but to put their baby up for adoption.

And I think it should be a madatory step to get your high school graduation to take Childhood development classes, for both men and women, sort of like gym.

exactly. kids are going to have sex..smoke, do drugs..wether or not thier parents had "the talk" with them...

but i also believe it would also help if parents were to stop denying that their children arent having sex when they KNOW they are..and believe me there are ways to tell..and to be a parent and take them to get birth control and inform them about it...it isnt the schools job for sex ed..and BC its the parents...

I had my daughter at age 17. She is very bright, and Ive always taken good care of her. I babysat for a couple in their mid 30's and their daughter was bright, but i swear i took care of that kid as much as i did my own. I still dont think that couple is suited or their lifestyle is well suited for children. some people just arent ready, some people never will be ready. some crazy people have kids and i mean a lot of people have kids at a very young age. It really depends on the person, and the mindset i think. Some step up, and take responsibility. Some just should put theirs up for adoption, as they arent ready to not party constantly and accept that they are parents now and an example for their children.

all in all, age doesnt matter. its how the person handles it.

as for manditory BC, maybe after the age of 15. I realize some girls and guys are active way before that, but it can be bad for a young girls development. Some would willingly take BC if given the choice. Some wanna get pregnant.. it all depends on personal choice and it may not be good to take the choice from the parent. But i do think any parent should be open and willing to put their child on BC if they come to them and say hey mom or hey dad, ive been having sex i think its a good idea if im on BC. but idk.

It shouldn't be the public school's responsiblity to teach about sex. It should be the parents. In schools, kids are being taught that sex is wrong and shouldn't be done...which is WRONG.
Sex is NOT wrong, sex is a part of life, and we must have sex inorder to keep reprouducing.
What we NEED to be teaching in schools, or rather what the parents should be teaching their children, is that if they decide to have sex that's fine...they NEED to use protection until they are with someone they want to have kids with and after they are done with college.

Sex is a pleasurable and fun thing, that shouldn't be shunned. And unfortunately, sex is looked down upon. If more parents would OFFER BC, instead of freak out when their daughter's ask for it, I think that would help alot,, too.

I think age is nothing but a number... How old you are doesnt determine how good of a parent you are.. ive seen some people who are amazing mothers and ive seen some that arent great mothers at all.. reguardless of age... I mean for example I know some parents that go to my church who should obviously WELL aware of what to do. They have 3 children, the oldest has been moving around from place to place since she was 13 and is now 35 weeks pregnant, she'll be 20 in november... The second oldest is living with another relative not blood related.. and she basically takes care of the relative's youngest daughter as if she were her own.. and she is 17... The youngest, they just let her do whatever she wants.... she doesnt bathe, she wears the most skimpiest clothes on earth *and she's a big girl that needs to cover all that up*..... it's just AHH scary.. and she's barely 15 i think... and what do the parents do, not a damn thing... the mother just takes the ssi checks and goes on with her day.

that was just an example of people who are well aware and old enought to know they should be taking proper care of their children.. but dont. I guess it just goes to show no matter how old you are, your age doesnt determine weather your a good parent or not.
