GED testing is done in facilities provided by your schools district... you can't take the GED online, you can prep for it online but you can't take any of the actual tests online.

While I agree with your point i have to disagree as well. for some teenagers online schooling is the only other option than a GED, for behavioral reasons, and such.

Yes you do. I have enlisted, thank you. You not only need an GED or Diploma, you have to bring proof.

The military prefers you to have a diploma over a GED. When I enlisted, they were very strict about having your diploma. I think you had to have many waivers to allow to be in the military with a GED. The Army has since lowered their standards and have allowed for more GED's to come through for enlistment, since they missed so many of their recruiting goals. I've not every met or heard of someone getting into the military with no diploma or equivalent.

There are SOME online high schools that are real schools and they are accepted by employers, etc... Distance learning has been around for years before the internet. But my best recommendation is a GED. This is more widely accepted. I have one. I was homeschooled and the college I attended wouldn't let me graduate with a GED or diploma, even though I started college at 14. *rolls eyes* So I got a GED. The test was really not as hard as I thought it would be. Even the math, which is my all-time worst subject, wasn't too much.

I'd just like to say that with my online classes to take my tests and finals, I have to either go to my high school or the college here and have a teacher administrate them. The only part I'm doing online is the learning, they don't even have actual assignments you turn in. You do them for your own benefit.
