Just call me "HOLY MOLEY!"

posted 26th Jun
For those of us with PCOS we know and understand that your random skin tags will pop up every now and again due to our hormones being...well, screwed up!

So, here I am about 32/33 wks preggo and I noticed that I have three skin tags/moles that, well, just don't look right. Normally I'll take dental floss or thread and tie it around the tags until they pop off. No biggie, well two of these tags/moles are weird. One I scratched on my belly thinking it was a bit...Ah no! Now it's all...eww! Then the other is on my right boob and it looks like a snowman laying on the ground. It's not quite flesh color and well, bothersome.

Has anyone had this happen? I'm at a loss and don't know what to do. Cancer is something that scares the crap out of me and since my friends mother developed breast cancer FROM A MOLE ON HER BREAST well, I'm wiggin! Please help!!!!

Whats PCOS? I have alot of skin tags very tiny but nonetheless annoying! I need to go to the dermatologist as well. Dont freak, im sure you are ok. My brother just had a couple removed and he is fine. Maybe make an appointment but dont stress until there is something to stress over!

PCOS is otherwise known as Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome. It is a health problem that can affect a woman's menstrual cycle, ability to have children, hormones, heart, blood vessels, and appearance. With PCOS, women typically have: high levels of androgenssometimes called male hormones, although females also make them; difficulty losing weight (mostly accumulated around the mid section); missed or irregular periods andmany small cystsin their ovaries preventing them from ovulating (anovulation).

We're hoping that after I give birth my body might return to normal. I've got to get a consult to go see a dermotologist. So, I guess we'll see.

WOAH.. just so you know Tahn Tu, skin tags are NOT the same as moles. Moles you should always have removed (if you remove them) by a doctor. Skin tags are extra growths of skin that are caused either by hormones being imbalanced, scar tissue, or where skin rubs together repeatedly over an extended length of time. Please dont try to rip off your moles! lol You will be in a lot of pain, and they will most likely come back anyways.
