Possible C-section

Hello. I'm 37 weeks and my baby girl hasn't flipped. My doc told me last Thurs if she didn't flip by today he wants to schedule a c-section. Well, she is still breech and I've been loosing my mucus plug over the last three days or so. No bloody show yet. But last Thurs I ended up in the hospital because I was bleeding alot. (Was a irritated cervix due to light intercouse. so no more fun there.) They let me go on Fri and I was 3cm dialated and doc said one more cm and he was cutting me open that night. I stayed at 3 so he sent me home. My appointment is at 3:30 today and I'm nervous about what he's going to say.

(BTW I'm a high risk pregnancy due to past losses, so I think that's why he's so quick to cut me open...)

Any advice? The thought of surgry scares me, but I just want our baby girl to be safe.

Just don't worry about it and know that your docs are doing everything to keep you and your little cupcake safe. Good luck, and who knows, maybe she will flip around and surprise you!

It's not the end of the world.
It isn't a party but you'll recover .
I was terrified to have an emerg c-section after 5 successful Vbirths that were all drug and intervention free. But it was the only way she was being delivered and it all went perfectly well .
Just take the pain meds offered , follow their advice after and you'll be fine.

I know it's not the end of the world, *laughs* just a little scared. First child and first surgry and all. I thank you ladies for the kind words. I've heard alot of horror stories about c-sections, but have been reading and hearing some good ones so feeling a bit better about this possiblity.

I just had a c-section (breech baby also) and was really scared. I tried the version didn't work. The sugery turned out great and the recovery was a snap. Don't get me wrong those first couple of times getting out of bed I thought I was never going to get better but I was shocked at how fast my ody bounced back. A week after I was home I took a three mile walk. Take a deep breath, you and your baby will be fine. Good luck!!
