poor lil man

ok so obviously i'm new to the mommy thing. my son is 6 weeks old and going on his fourth day without going poop. anything i can do to help him?? it's real hard and i know he's constipated and i feel so bad because i don't know what to do

My son had the same problem. We had to switch formulas. Which formula are you using?

similac soy. he wasn't doing good with the regular.

My son was on that too! We switched 2 times to get it right. Maybe you should call his pedi?

You can offer him a little water with just a pinch of sugar...as young as he is that should get him moving.

Get some dark karo syrup... mix one teasppon to one once of water. Do this twice a day until he is pooping regularly agian... I had to do this with both my kids and that is what their doctor told me to do. With my youngest it got so bad that she had a little rip on her actual butt whole from pushing soo hard... so do something fast before that happens!!

Yeah the karo syrup works. I'm doing that with my son also.
