Diaper Allergies?

Ok Ladies,
So just got off the phone with my mom just to learn when I was born I had allergies to certain diapers   I have severe allergies now as a grown up so Im scared my baby will be born with em too...

My question is have any of your babies been allergic to diapers? And if so what did you do? Is there certain brands out there that are better then others as far as allergies are concerned? Id like to start buying diapers now but I want to make sure to get the correct kind that I know will be good and safe for my child to use.

Any help or advice is appreciated!!!

My son was allergic to Huggies, it gave him a terrible diaper rash every time he wore them. After he was out of preemie diapers I switched to Pampers and he's been fine ever since  

every baby is different. so you wont know til you try it yourself.

Seth was allergic to the off brand diapers like white cloud etc.. he got diaper rash so i just stopped using them, switched to a different brand put stuff on his booty and it cleared up in a day or so.

we used huggies.  . he peed right through pampers.

My daughter had an allergic reaction to Huggies at first it was a rash but I didnt think a newborn could get a rash soo fast so I took her to the Dr. they prescribed her some kind of cream and I had to switch diapers

My baby isn't here yet, but my neices were allergic to huggies. Which I thought was weird because it was suppose to be one of the top brands out there. Both of my neices had to use Pampers. The huggies gave them bad diaper rash.

I want to use Huggies though, so that is what I registered for. I am just going to try. Each baby is different.

Wow....and guess what I bought today?? Huggies, the first bag and its the wrong brand oh no.... and whats horrible is Huggies is super expensive and it gives diaper rashes? Wow, Luvs is like $5 cheaper, Im very amazed youd think Huggies would be better...thanks Ladies!!

I LOVED huggies!! i had no problems with them at all

My boys have problems with huggies too. They make them break out in a horrible rash really quickly. We use pampers now though and I'm hoping this new baby is ok with them.   Good luck finding the ones that work for you !!!

My son could only use Huggies. Everything else would either leak or give him a rash.

My youngest cant use Huggies, Pampers, or Luvs they ALL give her a BAD rash that regular creams wont clear up. She could use Swaddlers from pampers but they started to leak as she got a little older. She can only use store brands and cloth diapers.

OP, if they end up having a allergy to everything then you can always use cloth. It may be a last resort but it is a option and there is a lot of things out there to make them easier to use.

My daughter was allergic to Targets brand. We used pampers on her. Next baby I want to cloth diaper.

my kids are not allergic to diapers or laundry soap.

we are pampers fans and use Tide HE (incase you were worried about soap too)

Holy Crappola, its scary to think they can be allergic to even diapers, I guess Im just gonna have to be patient and wait???

So if they are allergic theyll get like bumps down there? Or in their butt crack? Or?

yup i sure was curious bout the soap, i bought All Free today so hopefully that will be good

My kids would blister and it would kind of look like the skin was coming off. They "might" get a few bumps around the top of the diaper but the butt area would just be like raw.

oh gosh that sounds horrible
