Rx cream from the doctor can usually clear it up REALLY fast though. Hydrocortizone cream is good to if its just minor. If you use baby powder make sure its pure cornstarch or medicated.

it can't hurt. I was allergic to laundry soap but, we've never used free in our house and our kiddo's have no problem with it.   after the baby gets here, you may want to try 1 load of their clothes in reg soap and see if you really need thr free. sometimes but, not always the free can be more expensive.

I used cloth on my oldest 2 but disposables on the younger ones and they all got a nasty rash with Huggies. My mom is wanting to buy this baby a bunch of diapers (even though I said I'm using cloth  )so I'll have to tell her not to buy Huggies. I don't even want to take a chance this one would get a rash.

Both of my daughters could only wear Pampers. The others gave them rashes and they leaked.

I'm only allergic to Springtime, heehee. But my daughter was allergic to Huggies. Everytime she would wear them she got a horrible rash. So we switched her to Pampers and the rash vanished.

I am wondering this too now. I mean I took pampers off my registry because the Huggies were a little less expensive here and you get a few more diapers. I know they gave my neices a rash, but I just thought it was them. It's kinda scary that so many people have had problems. I also have already opened a pack of the Winnie the Pooh ones and already packed them in his going home bag. I can't return them since I opened them, but it kinda scares me. I dont want him to start out his life with a rash.

IF your kid can handle them they AWESOME diapers. I love the stretch and how secure the hold and pooh designs are my fav. They are really good about holding in smell as well.

You arent doing anything wrong. Most babies are fine with diapers and not allergic. When you do find one that works for you then regular baby powder to prevent a rash is fine. It also works good for stuff for you to. Like when jeans are hard to get on after a shower or when its really hot the baby powder will even keep a big kid from chaffing.

I agree the huggies were awesome diapers until the rashes started. After we switched to pampers we went with the swaddlers while they were small then to the pampers cruisers. I haven't used the pampers baby dry so I don't know what the difference is on those.

My daughter couldn't use the off brands they gave her a rash (allergic reaction, not a diaper rash). She had to use Huggies Supreme I loved them never had any problems. However my niece had allergic reactions to brand diapers and had to have the off brands. Go figure! With this baby we're just waiting to see what she can use.

We tried a few off brand diapers and they just all sucked. The absorbancy isn't like with Huggies or Pampers. I don't know about luvs because I never tried them. But After Grace got some really bad diaper rashs with the huggies we just switched to the normal pampers for baby's (not swaddlers, because they came out right after I had my baby and by then she was to big for them) but they were so excellent. I loved them. I mean she had a few blow outs but I think that's to be expected with most newborns. But that's what she used all the way until she was potty trained and she loved them all. I have a few huggies newborn diapers left over from Grace that I will try on this baby too, but I stick with what works until it no longer works and every baby is different so you never know.
