Is sex ok?

I went to the doc today causeI was cramping and leaking.And turns out I have a bacterial infection that could have caused my water to break if it went untreated.He said the cramping could be due to the infection but more then likely some sort of contraction.He didnt wanna do and enternal exam cause he didnt wanna disturb anything.But he gave me a prescription for an antibiotic to clear the infection.Its a vaginal cream.I didnt ask if I should wait to have sex until the medicine was done.Anybody have the same thing and know the answer?

i personally would hold off on the sex all together until you get the ok from your doc, if he doesnt want to get up in there to do an exam i wouldnt want anything else in there possibly disturbing things either, call and see what they say, good luck!

If your doc wouldn't do a vaginal exam because he didn't want to disturb anything then I wouldn't have sex.

anytime i have had cream for an infection in my vagina, the cream and the doctor said not to have sex while your using it.

Ur not supposed to have sex while ur treating a vaginal bacterial infection. Ur actually supposed to wait a week even after it's cleared up.

And this goes for women who aren't pregnant or are pregnant.

I think you should hold on from doing any love making for a while

Ur doc didn't tell you to not have sex? Doesn't it say somewhere on the instructions for the cream to not have sex?

Plus, bacterial infections can be transferred.

Doc didnt say anything and i have yet to read the cream.And he said it wasnt anything that could be transferred.Said its common in pregnancy and pregnancy in the summer.Not a yeast infection but is started pretty much the same way.
