Miss Becca has arrived!!

Well, she has finally graced us with her presence!!   Woke up at 3:30am bc I could not sleep through the contractions anymore. Finally talked myself into going in at about 6am. They admitted us at about 7:30 bc we went from 3 to 5cm in an hour. Got upstairs and got the epi, and once I was not walking aroun anymore, the contractions tapered off so they gave us pitocin. About 2-ish they checked us and we were at 7cm, so progressing. Well, shortly after that, I started feeling pressure so called the nurse and anestheseologist bc I though the epi was wearing off and they checked and gave me a boot and told me it would be about 20 minutes while it kicked back in (the pump was not working right) well, the midwife came in and since I was wiggling around all uncomfortable, she decided to check again and said I quote "Oh, my, we're having a baby DON'T PUSH!!" LOL So, starting to push about 2:45, Miss Becca jpoined us at 3:05 weighing in at 6 lbs 8 oz and 20 inches long. Rachel so far is takingit well and just being overly helpful and Nik of course is on cloud 9.   Thank you to all who listened to me gripe. LOL I am off to stare at my baby now
