Jumpers and the like...

posted 25th Jun
Just out of curiosity when did your babies start using jumpers and walkers and things like that?? Aidan is only 3 months so I feel like it is too early but he just wants to constantly stand and bounce and pretend to walk, lol, but he still seems so small to me and I just can't imagine him sitting in a jumper or something just yet...

This is basically my whole day...

I'd say if he stands that well he could probably start!

as long as he can hold his head up and support himself you are fine to start using them!

Edit: that is our rule at the daycare center for the bouncers anyways...

Cooper was about 3 months. Once he held his head up good he was fine. He didn't really jump around to much though just stood there. Now he's a maniac in it lol.

My son is six months old and refuses to stand like that. He loves hanging out in his walker though. He can reach the floor but always curls his legs up when he's in it. I think I have a lazy boy,LOL

OH! ok, well this is all very promising!! Its killing my arms bouncing him all day (he thinks he's doing it, lol, he'll kind of bob himself up and down but will start fussing if I don't make him "jump" lol) and now that he wants to take steps and stand I basically have to play with him 24/7 because he gets soooo bored to just sit in his swing too long or evenwhen I sit with him and talk to him... nope, not good enough... he HAS to be moving...

the jumpers, probably when they can hold up their heads and kick their legs. The walkers, I think when they can start pulling themselves up.

You might have an early walker like my babies!! Mine started walking at 7 months, but didnt quite master it til 8/9 months!!

it would only be my luck ... I thought I'd have a few months before he started teething, but nope. Thought I'd have some lazy baby time before he started this, nope. Thank God he started sleeping through the night early too or else I'd be freaking worn out... well, more than I already am...

you can use a jumparoo at 4 months but, he looks pretty ready now. I'd get it for him and let him try it out. worst thing that would happen is, you'd have to tuck it away for a few weeks

very true... I was just worried because he's so small but I guess I could always stick towels or receiving blankets down in it to make him fit a little better??

you sure could. I can't wait to get Piper a Jumparoo!!!!! My son lived in his because, if we took him out too soon he'd pitch a fit. Too bad for us, it was broken in a move... I guess it's a good thing because, he had an original and now they have the super cute rainforest one

Thats the one I want is the rainforest!! He has a rainforest bouncer and swing and the bright colors are great!! We're moving this week so things are a little hectic but I think I'll go look into getting him some things next week...
