How long after alcohol is it safe to breastfeed?

So my 25th birthday is coming up and i am planning to have a daquiri with some girlfriends but I am not sure how long alcohol stays in your breastmilk. I don't want to negatively impact my baby in any way. Thanks!

I was wondering this same thing... so im watching =)

Just to be safe, I would pump enough for at least 8 hours beforehand. I'm sure it'll clear out before then, but just to be safe

What I know is that you should not even consider any alcohol if you are breastfeeding....sounds prude but yeah, my sis in law told me this and she is a doctor so she knows more about it than I do.

What?!?! With my first son I would like pump for a whole day and dump the milk because I figured it would be in it for that long. Shoooot.... 2 hours? that's awesome... I'm excited to breastfeed! lol

i was told 24 hours just to be on the safe side.. i mean thats if you actually get drunk, but if its just a coule of drinks, i would say 1-2 hours for each drink.

So do you have to pump and dump first or just feed them after 2-4 hours?
