Jardine Crib Recall

In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, Jardine is recalling the Berkley, Hilton, Positano, Spindle, and Windsor Jardine cribs listed below. We are recalling these cribs because the wooden crib slats and spindles can break, creating a gap, which can pose an entrapment and strangulation hazard to infants. The cribs were sold nationwide from January 2002 through May 2008.

Yea I posted that yesterday. It really sucks I dont wanna have to go through all that either. Luckily I have a pack n play we were going to have him sleep in for the first few weeks anyways in our bedroom because I'm due in 2 weeks and the whole process for that takes a lot longer to get a new crib. Plus I think it's kinda BS that if the crib you pick to replace it is cheaper then what you paid for the recalled ones then you dont receieve any money back for it. It's just a waste of money!

You think its even worth it my crib looks perfectly fine and sturdy...lol i know that my baby is worth it so ill prob end up doing it but man it looks fine lol

Man it makes me so mad we paid a crap load for our crib [that she hasnt even used yet thank god] now i just want a different one all together. :{

Haha that's what me and my bf were talking about. They got recalled because the slats can fall off and a baby can try to squeeze between the two bars but they said that only 2 babies got scratches from trying to go through the bars. He went through and pulled on all them and checked everything out and it seems real sturdy. I went ahead and sent in the info to get a voucher but we're not sure yet what we're gonna do because we bought ours as a whole set with armoire and changing table and the whole room is already set up.

I know its such a hassle lol and then will probably end up with an ugly crib i have the matching changing table too...ugg well im sending for mine to let me know if you ever get around to it. My sons name is Aidan too  

I have the Jardine crib but how do I find out if mine is in the recall?

The model number is on the inside of the footboard or headboard so you just have to check that number then check it with the list.
