medicare for babies?

so i was at the hospital yesterday and i was talking to one of the NICU nurses( i stopped by to show off connor) ands hesaid we could apply for medicare to help with his glasses and things. do any of you know anything about medi-care?

She probably meant medicaide. Look up your states medicaid office online to apply.

Your hospital's social worker should be able to assist you. We filled out paperwork for Paige and the State gives her a $30 check each month.

my daughter missed assistance by 2 ounces!

2 ounces? That sucks!!! I didn't know there was a weight limit. At least you can tell her she was too big for something.  

I do feel guilty, even though the checks are only $30 (aka 2 cans of formula  )... I called to tell the State that Paige was out of the hospital so I didn't know if she should still receive aid... and they told me, "Don't call us, we'll call you!" Um.... okay. Let the checks keep coming then LOL.

Yeah, the cut of here is 2lbs 10oz. My nephew was premature and his mom works the assistance like there's no tomorrow. She lives in Florida and was supposed to move here to Oregon but won't because she's afraid they'll re-evaluate Joseph's SSI. It frustrates me so much!
